CFO at NBS

Mukai Mahachi has extensive work experience in financial management and leadership roles. Mukai is currently serving as the CFO at NBS since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director and CFO at MyCash from 2021 to 2023. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at LafargeHolcim, where they were responsible for managing finance, treasury, and tax operations. Mukai also served as the Finance Manager at National Foods Limited Zimbabwe from 2013 to 2017, providing financial support and analysis for the business unit. Before that, Mukai was a Non-Executive Director at Diamond Mining Corporation, overseeing its integration into Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company from 2011 to 2016. Their earlier experience includes working as a Finance Executive at Wedzera Petroleum, where they designed and set up accounting and administration systems, and as an Accountant at Innscor Distribution.

Mukai Mahachi's education history begins with their O Levels at St Dominic's Secondary School Chishawasha from 1988 to 1991. They then pursued A levels at Nagle House in Marondera from 1992 to 1993. Continuing their education, from 1994 to 1998, Mukai attended the National University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree with a field of study in Finance. After some time, Mukai pursued a Masters in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, completing it in the period between 2005 and 2007. Lastly, from 2011 to 2014, Mukai enrolled in the ACCA program, focusing on ACCA without specifying a degree name.
