Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Current Planning Division at the National Capital Planning Commission since July 2015, Matthew previously held the position of Senior Urban Designer. Matthew's career also includes significant roles such as Deputy Director of Planning & Zoning for the Town of Vienna, Virginia, and Revitalization Program Manager for Fairfax County Government. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Urban Designer for the City of West Palm Beach Economic Development. Matthew J. Flis holds a Master of Regional Planning in Urban Planning from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston.
