Julia Meltzer

Julia Meltzer is an experienced environmental advocate currently serving as the Zero Waste Coordinator for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators since October 2022. With a strong background in environmental justice, Meltzer has held various roles at Action Corps since June 2021, including Ambassador and Co-lead Organizer. Previously, as Lobby Lead at NY Renews, Meltzer led grassroots lobbying efforts for significant climate legislation in New York State. Additional experience includes contributing to Clean Air Campaign initiatives with El Puente and a long tenure as a Production Editor at HarperCollins Publishers. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Reed College.
