David J. Sachar

David Sachar currently serves as the Director of the judicial ethics group at the National Center for State Courts, a position held since March 2023, where David acts as a national and international liaison to judicial and legal associations. Prior to this role, David served as the Executive Director of the Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission from August 2007 to March 2023, overseeing staff, managing ethical complaints against Arkansas judges, and implementing commission policies. Earlier career experience includes the position of Deputy Executive Director at the same commission and practicing as a Litigation Attorney at Wilkes & McHugh, P.A., specializing in wrongful death and nursing home negligence cases. David's legal career began as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, focusing on felony cases. David holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Harding University.
