Freya Pitts

Senior Attorney, Legal Advocacy at National Center For Youth Law

Freya Pitts is an attorney on NCYL’s Legal Advocacy team. Before joining NCYL, she was an Arthur Liman Fellow and a staff attorney at Disability Rights Advocates, where she represented young people in impact cases challenging discrimination against children and youth with disabilities. Pitts is a former law clerk to the Honorable Judith W. Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Honorable Jon S. Tigar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Before law school, she served as a middle school teacher in Fulton County, Georgia. She received her B.A. in 2008 from Yale University and her J.D. in 2013 from Yale Law School, where she was a member of the Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic, the Immigration Legal Services Clinic, and the Advocacy for Children and Youth Clinic.
