Kamala Buchanan-Williams is an experienced attorney currently serving on the Legal Advocacy Team at the National Center for Youth Law since August 2023. Previously, Kamala held the position of Supervising Attorney for the Statewide Education Project at Georgia Legal Services Program from August 2019 to July 2023, and was a Skadden Fellow during that time. Kamala also served as Executive Director at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau from January 2018 to June 2019. Additional experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Public Citizen Litigation Group and the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as positions at the ACLU of Northern California and the California Innocence Project. Kamala's academic background includes a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
