Sophia Lawson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sophia has served as the Director of Quality & Compliance and Chief COVID-19 Officer at the National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA) since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Dove Pointe as a Grant Writer & Compliance and later as the Day Services Director from 2013 to the present. From 2007 to 2012, they were a Talent Management Specialist at Shore Health System. Sophia also has experience as a Clinical Supervisor at Healthy Families Lower Shore, where they initiated two fatherhood involvement programs and oversaw various aspects of the program. In the early years of their career, they worked as a Rehabilitation Aide at Medical Rehab Support Services, Inc., assisting therapists and handling clinical responsibilities and billing.
From 1997 to 2000, Sophia Lawson attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services.
