Darshak Shah

Darshak Shah is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in the ophthalmology sector and healthcare consulting. Currently serving as Co-founder and Executive Chair at Paloma Health since May 2024, Darshak also advises Oviva on Specialist Weight Management Services for NHS patients. As a co-founder of Newmedica, established in 2007, Darshak has been instrumental in creating innovative clinical delivery models tailored for the NHS. Other notable roles include being a Non-Executive Director and Adviser at Newmedica, a Trustee at the National Centre for Circus Arts, and an appointed expert advisor to the Department of Health and Social Care's Elective Recovery Taskforce. Darshak's prior experience includes strategic roles with various healthcare organizations, including the Independent Healthcare Providers Network and the NHS Partners Network, as well as a background in management consulting with The Boston Consulting Group. Darshak holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
