Wai Yee Poon

Wai Yee Poon is an experienced community organizer currently serving as the Organizing Program Manager at the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development since June 2021. Prior to this role, Wai Yee held positions such as Account Coordinator at Swiss Re and Community Engagement Coordinator at Chinese for Affirmative Action, where significant contributions included orchestrating the CAA Leadership Development Institute and advocating for non-citizen voting rights in San Francisco. Additional experience includes organizing for CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities and working as a legal assistant, intern, and in various entry-level roles. Wai Yee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Hamilton College.
