Arthur Swarbrick

Arthur Swarbrick is an accomplished Advanced Research Engineer at the National Composites Centre since April 2021, with extensive experience in materials science gained during previous roles at Hexcel Corporation and Formax UK Ltd. Arthur has a diverse background, having also worked as a Research Associate at Loughborough University and contributed as a Mechanical Testing Support Engineer and Flood Defence Support Engineer during undergraduate placements. Arthur Swarbrick holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Loughborough University, where the focus was on Carbon-Ceramic Friction, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Materials and a Certificate of Higher Education in Civil Engineering, both from the same institution.
