Monali Dahale

Monali Dahale, PhD, MIMMM, currently serves as an Advanced Research Engineer at the National Composites Centre, focusing on engineering operations and automation for complex deposition processes since March 2023, after previously holding the position of Research Engineer in the same domain. Prior experience includes a Research Associate role at the Artemis Project at Ulster University from September 2021 to February 2023, and as a Researcher in Technical Textiles at Camira Fabrics Limited and the University of Huddersfield, where development of environmentally friendly flame retardant solutions for wool fabric was undertaken. Monali also contributed as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher at Ulster University, innovating in the development of novel 3D woven carbon/epoxy composites. Additional experience includes roles at STEM Learning UK as a STEM Ambassador, Centro Ricerche Fiat as an Exchange Researcher, and DuPont, where advancements in ballistic protection solutions were made. Monali’s academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Engineering from Ulster University and a Bachelor's degree in Fibres and Textile Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
