Emily Maher

Emily Maher has extensive experience in public policy and project management, currently serving as a Project Manager at the National Conference of State Legislatures since March 2018, where previous roles included Senior Policy Specialist, Policy Associate, and Research Analyst II. Prior to this, Emily worked as a Policy Analyst at the City of Philadelphia's Controller's Office and served as Deputy Finance Director for Friends of Alan Butkovitz. An active student leader, Emily was President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at American University, where a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government was earned, followed by a Master of Public Administration and Policy from the same institution. Emily's early career included an internship in Congressman Patrick Murphy's office, focusing on constituent relations.
