National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
Dawn M. Kappel has an extensive work experience in marketing and communications. Dawn M. started their career as the Director of External Communications at Access to Care in 1991 and held the position until 1997. Following that, they joined Adler Planetarium as the Director of External Communications in 1998 and stayed until 2003. In 2004, they joined NCSBN where they currently serve as the Director of Marketing & Communications, responsible for managing various programs and initiatives related to marketing and communications.
Dawn M. Kappel obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism- Public Relations from Northern Illinois University. Later, they pursued further education and completed their Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Organizational Communication from the same university between 1993 and 1995.
National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
The purpose of NCSBN is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. NCSBN's programs and services include developing the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations, performing policy analysis and promoting uniformity in relationship to the regulation of nursing practice, disseminating data related to the licensure of nurses, conducting research pertinent to NCSBN's purpose, and serving as a forum for information exchange for members.
