Zach Sears

Zach Sears is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems administration and network management, currently serving as a Senior System Administrator I at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) since April 2013. In this role, Zach maintains and supports various IT infrastructure systems, including Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365, and is actively involved in IT security efforts. Prior to NCSBN, Zach worked at the Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana in various roles, including System Engineer and IT Technical Site Supervisor, overseeing desktop support and server management at St. Catherine's Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center. Zach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington, earned between 1999 and 2003.

National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)

The purpose of NCSBN is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. NCSBN's programs and services include developing the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations, performing policy analysis and promoting uniformity in relationship to the regulation of nursing practice, disseminating data related to the licensure of nurses, conducting research pertinent to NCSBN's purpose, and serving as a forum for information exchange for members.
