Carly Manes (she/her)

Carly Manes is an experienced Movement and Capacity Building Strategist at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, with a focus on training and program management since July 2021. Simultaneously, Carly serves as a Trainer and Co-Creator at Dopo Abortion Support, where leadership of an inaugural virtual Abortion Doula training has reached over 60 global participants. As an Independent Contractor, Carly specializes in anti-racism and equity training, including a significant engagement with the University of California. Involvement with the National Democratic Training Committee and Priorities USA includes training over 500 candidates and designing a comprehensive training program for digital media practitioners. Carly’s prior roles include Director of Training and Fellowships at Advocates for Youth and various positions at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, emphasizing reproductive rights advocacy and equity in healthcare. Carly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
