Alicia Pulaski has extensive experience in administrative and customer service roles, currently serving as a Project Billing Assistant at National Design Mart since July 2017, where new client procedures and invoicing strategies were implemented to enhance operations. Previous positions include Administrative Assistant, where a database for order templates was created, and Receptionist, managing client communications and departmental support. Prior to National Design Mart, Alicia worked as a Barista at Kent State Dining Services, as a Server at Eliza Jennings, and held public relations roles with Helping Hands for LGBTQ Homelessness and the Kent State Recess Club. Alicia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Kent State University.

Family-Owned, Local Roots National Design Mart is locally-owned and founded by the King family. Their father, Dennis, first sold flooring in Akron in the 1960's. Now the second generation – Ryan and Chris – continue to serve longtime and new customers with the same passion. There’s Only One National Design Mart We’re not a chain. Our home office isn’t in some faraway city. The owners don’t live in some other state. In fact, the owners are probably in the same store where you are shopping… making that daily commitment to customers and community that they learned from their dad.
