Shafiq Ahmad

Shafiq Ahmad is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in migration management and resettlement. Currently serving as a Sr. Migration Management Specialist at National Development Consultants since January 2021, Shafiq oversees the implementation of the Social and Resettlement Management Plan for the Dasu Hydropower Project, focusing on Social Impact Management, construction supervision, and evaluation of project impacts. Previously, Shafiq held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Research Center for Resettlement and worked in land acquisition and resettlement roles at National Development Consultants. Shafiq's career also includes serving as a Disaster Management Officer with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority in Peshawar, where responsibilities involved planning and coordinating disaster management according to national standards. Shafiq is pursuing a PhD in Resettlement Sciences & Management from Hohai University and holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Peshawar.
