Rebecca Salon

Project Director, LEAD Center at National Disability Institute

Rebecca Salon has extensive experience in disability services spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Contractor at the DC Department on Disability Services since July 2020, Rebecca is also a Program Specialist at the State Office of Disability Administration, where program and partnership development is a focus. As Project Director for the National Disability Institute's LEAD Center, Rebecca contributes to promoting the employment and economic advancement of people with disabilities. Rebecca's long-standing commitment is further demonstrated through board membership roles at the Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education and Shared Support of Maryland, as well as advisorship at Project ACTION!. Previous leadership positions include Director at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Institute and consultancy work until 2012. Rebecca holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from Syracuse University and has actively participated in various initiatives for people with disabilities throughout an accomplished career.
