Kelsey Whelan, BSN, RN, is an experienced Registered Nurse currently employed at The University of Vermont Medical Center and Our Lady of Providence, and serving as a Helpline Volunteer for the National Eating Disorders Association. Kelsey has a diverse clinical background, having completed multiple nursing clinical rotations in settings such as Boston Children's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on pediatrics, psychiatric care, and adult health. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and ongoing pursuit of a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Prior roles as a Resident Assistant at Boston College highlight Kelsey’s commitment to mentorship and creating supportive environments.

The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the leading non-profit organization in the United States advocating on behalf of and supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. Reaching millions every year, we campaign for prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research funding to better understand and treat eating disorders. We work with partners and volunteers to develop programs and tools to help everyone who seeks assistance.
