Lead Legislative Advocate at National Eating Disorders Association

Sabrina Shih, LMSW, CED-S, is a seasoned mental health professional currently serving as a Senior Therapist and Psychiatric Social Worker at The Mount Sinai Hospital's Center of Excellence in Eating and Weight Disorders since July 2021. In addition to this role, Sabrina leads legislative advocacy at the National Eating Disorders Association, focusing on policy actions to increase research funding and promote eating disorder prevention in schools. Previously, experience includes serving as Community Liaison for the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work, where efforts were made to enhance professional education, and as a Graduate Assistant at Columbia University, contributing to mental health reform initiatives. Additional internships at NYC Health + Hospitals and the University Settlement Society provided clinical support to diverse populations, while earlier roles, including Social Services Worker at Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation and Clinical Coordinator at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, involved trauma response and youth mentoring. Sabrina holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
