Alexios Vagias

Head of Asset Management at National Energy Holdings

Alexios joined National Energy in June 2021 as a Senior Asset Manager. In this capacity, he manages the portfolio of all operating solar and wind assets with an installed capacity of 91MWp in Greece. He brings twelve years of experience from the renewable energy sector covering the design, development, construction and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of solar and wind assets. Previous managerial roles held include overseeing the construction of a 24MW wind farm, while also being part of the team responsible for the construction of a total of 49MW wind farms, and performance monitoring for a wind and solar portfolio of 76MW of installed capacity for Hellenic Capital Partners. Alexios draws previous asset and project managerial roles in the sector whilst at IBG Management.

Alexios holds a BEng from the University of Edinburgh in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a MSc in Business Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems (Institute of Energy Systems) from the University of Edinburgh. He is a a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and a certified Safety Engineer. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking international cuisine and making the most out of family time.
