Kate Lyons

Kate Lyons, PMP, is a seasoned professional in grants management and project leadership with extensive experience in cybersecurity and emergency management. Currently serving as a Grants Management Specialist at the National Energy Technology Laboratory since July 2024, Kate previously held managerial and project management roles at Lafayette Group and Partner Forces LLC, where responsibilities included operational support for cybersecurity grant programs and leading risk assessment methodologies for FEMA. Earlier career positions included serving as a Supervisory Team Lead at Insight Technology Solutions and a project manager at Lafayette Group, focusing on public safety communications for CISA, along with a foundational role as a Police Officer for the Town of Vienna. Kate holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Radford University.
