Song Chen is a Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Climate Research Singapore (CCRS), where the primary focus involves developing the urban numerical weather and climate modeling system, uSINGV, and conducting research on urban meteorological phenomena. Prior to this role, Song served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, utilizing high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codes. Additional experience includes a Research Fellow and Project Officer position at Nanyang Technological University, leading research projects related to combustion and mentoring junior students, as well as completing a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, with a focus on Trapped Vortex Combustor (TVC) concepts. Song also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Solid Fuel Rockets from Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
