Managing Director, Supportive Housing at National Equity Fund, Inc.

Debbie Burkart serves as Managing Director and National Vice President of Supportive Housing at National Equity Fund, Inc., with a focus on investments in supportive and affordable housing since January 1992. In 2006, Burkart founded and has since directed the LISC-NEF Bring Them HOMES initiative, which aims to provide affordable housing for homeless veterans and their families. Additionally, Burkart holds the position of National Board Member for both CSH, the Source for Housing Solutions, and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, contributing to efforts to end homelessness in the United States. Earlier experience includes a Project Manager role at Building Diagnostics Inc. from 1984 to 1988. Educational qualifications include a BA in Public Policy from Duke University and an MCRP in City & Regional Planning-Housing Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as an MBA in Business - Real Estate from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
