Matthew Winter

Matthew Winter has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matthew began their career as a Staff Writer at Summerville Journal Scene in 1996 and later worked as a Staff Writer and Desk Editor at The Salisbury Post from 1998 to 2000. Matthew then joined The Post and Courier, where they held various roles such as Desk Editor, Graphics Director, and Presentation Editor from 2000 to 2008. During this time, they also served as the Manager of Innovation and New Initiatives and Niche Publications Manager. From 2007 to 2014, Matthew was the founding editor of Tideline magazine and worked as an Outdoors Writer and Photographer, as well as a Manager of Niche Content and Design at The Post and Courier. In 2014, they joined the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation as a Senior Staff Writer and later became the Creative Director. In these roles, Matthew led cross-departmental efforts, managed corporate branding, developed high-level corporate communication products, and contributed to strategic planning projects. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in writing, editing, design, publication management, media outreach, and digital content management.

Matthew Winter attended the University of Florida from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Print journalism.
