John Hellen

Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst at National Flood Services

John Hellen has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and positions. John started their career in politics, working as a Western MT Regional Manager for the US Senator Conrad Burns Campaign in 1994. John then moved on to work as a Reading Clerk and Bills Clerk in the Montana State Senate for a short period in 1995 before becoming a Field Representative for the United States Senate later that year. In 1997, they transitioned to the Oregon State House where they served as a Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives.

After their time in politics, Hellen ventured into business, founding their own company called Hellen Group, LLC in 2001. From 2003 to 2004, they owned and served as the President of Audio Forte and Electronics, Inc, where they were responsible for selling home and car audio electronics and leading a sales team. During their tenure, they set sales goals for the company and coached employees to achieve their targets while also soliciting and obtaining new business.

Following their entrepreneurial pursuits, Hellen worked as a Store Manager at Wells Fargo Bank from 2004 to 2007 before assuming the role of Assistant Branch Manager at MaPS Credit Union from 2007 to 2009. John then joined National Flood Services in 2011 as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst.

John also holds an Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI) certification from The Institutes, which they obtained in July 2012.
