Kathryn Farrell

Kathryn Farrell serves as the Data Protection Officer and Compliance Manager at the National Galleries of Scotland, a position held since December 2008, where responsibilities include advising on data protection matters in line with GDPR and relevant legislation. Prior to this role, Kathryn held a position as Policy and Performance Manager at the National Galleries of Scotland, overseeing compliance across various policy areas and coordinating exhibition planning. Additionally, Kathryn gained experience as a Communities Policy Manager during a secondment at the Scottish Government, focusing on policy development for fishing communities, and worked as a Policy Officer at Midlothian Council, concentrated on corporate policy initiatives. Kathryn earned a BA(Hons) in International Business and Modern Languages from the University of Strathclyde.
