Christienne Johnson

Christienne Johnson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in internal auditing and compliance. Currently serving as the Chief of Internal Audit, Assurance, and Advisory at the National Gallery of Art since February 2015, Christienne provides critical advisory services to the Board of Trustees and the Director, focusing on governance, risk management, and performance effectiveness. In addition, Christienne is a member of Chief, a network for executive women, enhancing leadership impact through community engagement. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Internal Auditing and Compliance at Arnold & Porter, where an internal audit department was established, and as Internal Audit Manager at WilmerHale, where the internal audit function was initiated. Christienne began a career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate, handling diverse audit engagements. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Virginia and a Master's degree in Accounting from the USC Marshall School of Business.
