Sara Miya Do-Zhu is an experienced horticulturist with a strong background in plant sciences and landscape management. Currently serving as a Gardener at the National Gallery of Art since July 2023, Sara previously held the position of Horticulturist at NOVA Parks, where responsibilities included managing seasonal garden staff and making landscape design decisions. Sara also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, teaching various horticulture courses, and has held multiple roles in renowned institutions such as The Huntington and Sherman Library and Gardens, where skills in garden maintenance and event support were utilized. Sara's educational background includes a Master of Science in Plant Sciences from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences from California Polytechnic State University.
