Doug Millington-Smith

Doug Millington-Smith is an experienced professional in the field of applications management and operational innovation. Currently serving as the Operational Innovation Lead at National Gas since March 2024, Doug previously held the position of Global Applications Lead and Applications Manager at QLM Technology Ltd from August 2020 to March 2024. Doug's career also includes roles such as Applications Scientist at MIRICO, Capital Equipment Specialist at VWR, and Principal Applications Specialist at Freeman Technology, among others. Doug holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Bath, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. Early education was completed at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester.
