Leigh Palmer

Leigh Palmer is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with extensive experience in the gas industry and civil engineering. Currently serving as Cyber OT Senior Project Manager at National Gas Transmission since June 2023, Leigh leads and supports the Operational Technology cyber program, ensuring project success while adhering to established standards and procedures. Previously, at National Grid from April 2012 to June 2023, Leigh held several positions, including Senior Engineer focused on gas quality, where responsibilities included developing regulatory business cases and enhancing asset performance. Additional roles involved designing new assets and modifications within the National Transmission System and configuring SCADA systems. Leigh's career began at Halcrow from February 2006 to April 2012 as a Senior Highways Technician, overseeing various civil engineering project aspects. Educational qualifications include a BEng in Civil Engineering from Coventry University, an HNC in Civil Engineering from GLOSCOL, and a BSc in Information Technology and Business Management from the University of Worcester.
