Richard Murphy

Richard Murphy serves as Chief Information Officer at National Gas, leading technology and security efforts during a significant £10bn divestment from National Grid and building a world-class technology team. Additionally, Richard holds the position of Non Executive Director at Joint Radio Company Ltd. and has been the Owner & Managing Director of J & H Consultants Ltd. since January 2016. Previous roles include Global Shared Service Business & Transformation Director at Serco, where transformational initiatives were implemented for digital cheque processing, and Service & Transformation Director at Lloyds Banking Group, focusing on operational service reviews. With a strong background in operational transformation, Richard also held key positions at Capita as COO (Interim) and Chief Information Officer, managing large teams and significant P&L responsibilities.
