Erik Gundersen

Managing Director, English Language Portfolio at National Geographic Learning ELT

Erik Gundersen has extensive experience in the education publishing industry. Erik started their career at GlobalEnglish Corporation in 1999 as a Teacher Relations Manager before joining McGraw Hill in 2001 as a Publisher in the English Language Teaching division. In 2009, they joined Oxford University Press as an Executive Publishing Manager in the English Language Teaching department. Erik later held roles as Head of Market Development and Editorial, Asia, and Head of Global Market Development, where they were responsible for driving engagement with key accounts and developing strategies to expand the company's market share. In 2016, Erik joined National Geographic Learning ELT as the Business Development Director for Asia, and later served as the Publisher and Business Development Director for content-based English. Their most recent role at National Geographic Learning ELT is Senior Director of Global Partnerships, starting in July 2021.

Erik Gundersen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Art History from Williams College. In addition, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Reading and Language at Harvard Graduate School of Education. However, no specific start or end dates were provided for either educational experience.
