Karen Horton

ELT Sales Director, US And Canada at National Geographic Learning ELT

Karen Horton has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1991, they worked at Thomas Horton and Daughters as the Editorial Director and President, where they increased revenue and profitability through various strategic initiatives. Karen then moved on to work at Pearson as a Project Manager for Life Sciences, followed by a role as Managing Editor at W.H. Freeman & Company. In 2007, they joined Oxford University Press, where they held multiple positions including Head of Development, Market Development and Research Manager, Director of Marketing and Market Development, and eventually Director of Sales and Marketing. Since 2016, they have been the ELT Sales Director for the US and Canada at National Geographic Learning ELT.

Karen Horton attended the University of Arizona from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their field of study included Spanish and Economics. In 2016, they also obtained a certification from ASU GSV Summit.
