Simon Robert Ferdinand has a diverse work experience in the field of ELT (English Language Teaching) assessment and sales. From 2011 until 2023, they held various roles at Oxford University Press and its Spanish branch, including Head of Business Development and Head of Assessment. From 2004 to 2005, they attended Universidad Pontificia Comillas and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Administración y Dirección de Empresas.
In 2000 to 2001, they studied at the University of Cambridge and earned a Diploma of English Teaching to Adults in Applied Linguistics.
Between 1988 and 1992, Ferdinand attended Newcastle University, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies. Simon Robert also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. with Honours) degree from the same university during the same period, focusing on Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Latin American Studies.
For their secondary education, Ferdinand attended Merchant Taylors School in Liverpool from 1985 to 1987. Simon Robert completed their A Levels in Latin, English Literature, French, and General Studies during this time.
