Ben Rowe

Ben Rowe is an experienced picture editor with a strong background in photography and editorial management. Currently serving as the Picture Editor at National Geographic Traveller (UK) since January 2025, Ben leads the picture desk, commissions international photographers for travel features, and organizes annual photography competitions. Recent freelance work includes collaborations with various publications such as Club Oenologique magazine and the Guardian. Previously, Ben held the position of Picture Editor at National Geographic Traveller (UK) from July 2023 to July 2024, where responsibilities included commissioning photography and organizing workshops for the NGT Food Festival. Ben's earlier roles include Picture Desk Manager, Deputy Picture Editor, and Picture Researcher at Time Out Group from 2009 to 2022 and Graphics Manager at Snappy Snaps Franchises Ltd. Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Surrey Institute of Art & Design between 2002 and 2005.
