Al Armstrong

Al Armstrong is a Senior GEOINT Officer for Maritime Standards at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, specializing in hydrography and marine navigation with extensive experience in data models and standards. Al Armstrong oversees maritime standards activities for various civilian and defense standards organizations, including NATO and the International Hydrographic Organization. Previous roles at the NGA include GEOINT Analysis Data Architect and Maritime Standards Officer, along with a background as a Military Staff Officer. Al Armstrong served in the US Navy in various capacities, culminating in management roles within hydrographic operations and surface warfare. Al Armstrong holds multiple advanced degrees in Diplomacy, Hydrographic Science, Meteorology, and Physics.
