Shawn McGinley

Director, Installation Operations at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

Shawn McGinley has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 when they served as the Commander of the 54th Engineer Battalion in the United States Army. From 2009 to 2012, they held the role of Colonel in the United States Army, serving as the District Commander for the Rock Island District of the Army Corps of Engineers. In 2016, they transitioned to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, initially serving as the Site Manager before becoming the Director of Installation Operations in January 2021.

Shawn McGinley completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Penn State University from 1983 to 1988. Later, from 1998 to 1999, they earned a Master's degree in National Security from U.S. Naval War College. In 2008 to 2009, Shawn went to The United States Army War College and obtained a Master's degree in National Security. Recently, in 2017, they attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School as a National Security Fellow.
