Laura Aylward

Laura Aylward is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security incident management and cyber risk. Currently serving as the Head of Security Incident Management at National Grid ESO since August 2023, Laura has also held the position of Cyber Security Product Director at National Grid since July 2020. Previous roles include Cyber Risk SME and Product Director at Digital Shadows, Principal Investigative Consultant at Context Information Security, and Cyber Threat Detection & Response at PwC UK. Laura's early career included positions as Senior Research Consultant at Context Information Security, Security Consultant at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, and Information Security Specialist at the UK Ministry of Defence. Laura holds a Master of Science in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Mathematics from Keele University.
