Alice Delahunty

President, UK Electricity Transmission at National Grid

Alice Delahunty is the President of UK Electricity Transmission at National Grid. Alice has over fifteen years of experience in the energy sector.

Alice started their career as an Electrical Engineer with E.ON UK. Alice spent two years seconded to the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) to write, produce and present the Faraday Lecture; “Emission Impossible – Can Technology Save the Planet?” In 2006, they were promoted to Head of Offshore UK, Wind Operations where they were responsible for delivering safety, technical and financial performance of approx 1.5GW of offshore wind assets in the UK.

In 2013, Alice joined G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation as a Board Member. Alice held this position until 2017 when they joined National Grid as President of UK Electricity Transmission.

Alice Delahunty has a Master of Management Science from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same school.

Alice Delahunty reports to John Pettigrew, CEO & Director. They work with Cordi O'Hara - President, National Grid Ventures, Will Serle - Chief People and Culture Officer, and Rudolph Wynter - President, National Grid New York.
