Joey Shelley

Joey Shelley is a Senior UX Researcher at National Grid since April 2022, focusing on the On My Way digital gateway for the field force. Previously, Joey held the role of Senior UX Researcher at Cohere Health, where contributions included the development of a UXR prioritization schema and collaborative research processes. As Lead UX Researcher at Common Sensing, Joey established a user research program aligned with IEC-60601 and ISO-14791, managing remote research during the pandemic and executing numerous studies across diverse user demographics. Earlier experiences include roles as UX Researcher and User Research Contractor, as well as Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where projects encompassed iterative design, participatory sessions, and supervising student research. Joey's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BS in Computer Science from California State University Stanislaus.
