Juan M. Santiago

Juan M. Santiago has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the External Affairs Manager for National Grid since September 1998. In this role, Juan promotes understanding of the energy transition among local community leaders and stakeholders in the New York City region. Previous positions at National Grid include Senior Supervisor of Welding Construction, where Juan oversaw the qualification of welders and contributed to the construction of distribution and transmission steel pipelines, and Senior Instructor of Gas Field Operations, responsible for the qualification and testing of gas distribution personnel. Juan's career also includes roles as a Gas Field Operations Mechanic in the US Navy from 1994 to 1998, and as a Meter Services professional at Brooklyn Union Gas Co (KeySpan Energy Delivery New York) from 1993 to 1994. Juan holds a degree from Excelsior University.
