Retha Fernandez

Retha Fernandez, SHRM-SCP, is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in strategic engagement and workforce development. Currently serving in dual roles at National Grid Ventures and Community Offshore Wind, Retha focuses on strategic engagement and promoting workforce equity. As the inaugural Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer for Suffolk County, Retha initiated a county-wide employee feedback survey that garnered over 4,000 responses. Previous experience includes leading community-centered equity initiatives as Project Director at the Urban League of Long Island and managing technology services at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Retha is also the owner and certified meditation instructor at Soul of Long Island, LLC, which emphasizes mindful living. Retha holds a certification in Primordial Sound Meditation from the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.
