Jake Steen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jake started their career in 2009 as a Sales Associate at Gap Inc. and later worked as a Server, Bartender, and Golf Caddy at Lake Ripley Country Club. In 2014, they gained writing experience as a Staff Writer for The Spectator, a weekly publication at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

During their time at UWEC TV-10 from 2012 to 2015, they held various roles, including News Reporter, Sports Talk Show Host, Anchor, Producer of Homefield Advantage, and helped bring live sports back to TV-10's programming. Jake also interned with the Athletic Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2015, creating content for the department's website.

In 2015, Jake worked as a Media Relations Intern for the Eau Claire Express Baseball team, where they were responsible for writing game recaps, feature stories, and handling press releases and local media.

From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Marketing Assistant at Rainbow Hospice Care, composing and sending articles/press releases to local media and care partners.

Jake then transitioned into a Graphic Designer role at PeroDigm Design Studio, LLC from 2016 to 2018.

At their most recent position as a Marketing Graphics Specialist at National Guardian Life Insurance Company, starting in 2017, they are involved in creating marketing graphics.

Jake Steen attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
