Aurora Toshiko King

Aurora Toshiko King serves as an Executive Director at Free Spirit Media since May 2021, overseeing organizational alignment with mission and values amid transformative changes, while also leading fundraising efforts and programmatic development. Prior roles include Director of Education at Marwen, where Aurora focused on enhancing programs with a social justice perspective, and Director of Programs at Destiny Arts Center, managing various initiatives and fostering partnerships with educational and governmental entities. Aurora co-founded Creosote Journal, has extensive experience in grant writing and program design, and has held various positions aimed at improving arts education and community engagement in schools. Aurora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and currently serves as a Board Member for the National Guild for Community Arts Education.
