Alex Aitkin

Alex Aitkin currently serves as Assistant Director at the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) since April 2019, focusing on the Evaluation Unit, research impact, case studies, and research policy. Previous experience includes roles at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, where responsibilities spanned policy development and the Innovation Metrics Review Taskforce, as well as a key project in R&D investment statistics. Alex Aitkin holds a Ph.D. in Science Communication and multiple degrees from The Australian National University, along with a diploma in Hypnotherapy from the Academy of Applied Hypnosis.
