Dr. Wee-Ming Boon is a highly experienced leader in health and medical research, currently serving as Director of Translation Programs in the Research Partnerships Branch at the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) since 2018. Responsibilities include strategic management and program delivery for Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies, Development Grants, and Targeted Research Programs, with a focus on commercial application across various health areas. Previous positions at NHMRC include Director of Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies Grants and Senior Research Scientist, providing scientific and policy guidance on issues such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, antimicrobial resistance, and research integrity.
