Margaret Otlowski is a seasoned academic and legal professional with extensive experience in law and ethics. Currently serving on the Australian Research Integrity Committee at the National Health and Medical Research Council since April 2017, Margaret has held various positions at the University of Tasmania, including Professor in the Faculty of Law, Pro Vice Chancellor (Culture and Wellbeing), and Dean of the Law Faculty. Additionally, Margaret was the Honorary Consul for Switzerland from 2000 to 2018 and held leadership roles in the Consular Corps of Tasmania and the Tasmanian Anti-Discrimination Tribunal. Margaret's involvement in health ethics is highlighted by membership on the Australian Health Ethics Committee and the Human Genetics Advisory Committee from 2009 to 2015. Margaret obtained a PhD in Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania.
