Mr. Smith was named Senior Vice President and Treasurer of NHC, effective January 2017. He joined NHC in 1994 as an Accounting Manager before he was promoted to Assistant Vice President-Special Assets, then to Vice President – Treasury. Mr. Smith has nine years of previous experience in internal audit and controllership positions at Hospital Corp of America (HCA) and a Nashville-based computer company. He is currently serving on the board of two local non-profits.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Lipscomb University, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from the Nashville School of Law. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive) and a Licensed Attorney in the state of Tennessee.
