Sharon Jacks began their work experience in 1987 as the Director of Interior Design at National HealthCare Corporation, a reputable long-term healthcare company. In this role, they oversee the department responsible for interior finishes and furnishings for NHC's properties. Sharon takes pride in creating inviting and comfortable spaces that also promote healing for the patients and residents. In 2017, they joined the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine as an Instructor. Sharon held this position until 2022.
Sharon Jacks, NBC-HWC, received their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from Samford University from 1982 to 1986. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the same university in the field of Interior Design and Ergonomics.
Sharon later pursued a Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching from Emory University. Sharon also attended Cornell University, where they earned a Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition.
In 2017 to 2018, Sharon attended Emory University School of Medicine to further their knowledge in Health and Wellness Coaching.
Additionally, Sharon has obtained several certifications from different institutions. Sharon became an Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Chef from Sharecare in November 2019. Sharon is also a certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBHWC) and obtained their certification from NBHWC in July 2019. In December 2018, they received a Health and Wellness Coach certification from Emory University. Furthermore, Sharon is a Food for Life Facilitator certified by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine since July 2017. Lastly, they obtained a Plant Based Nutrition Certification from Cornell University in September 2016.
